A Silver Box

Luckily smoking has fallen out of fashion (I had my last 22 years ago) but many of the accoutrements remain and are ripe for re-purposing - this is a very pretty cedar lined silver box to hold all manner of treasures. It is hallmarked Birmingham and made by Alexander Clarke Co. Ltd. in 1961 - it has an engine turned top with a central lozenge ripe for engraving. It measures 8.5cms by 12cms and the lid is fractionally off centre which I hope you can see in the photographs.
